Barnhart,
Inc. completes design-build BEQ
Contractor built
facility at MGAGCC Twentynine Palms
Barnhart, Inc. completed a $14 million design-build, Bachelors
Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat
Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, CA.
With
design partner Delawie Wilkes Rodrigues Barker, Barnhart oversaw
the design and construction of the 87,855-sf BEQ. The three-story
masonry building features slab on grade, steel framing, metal
decking on upper floors with concrete topping and metal roofing.
The project
began construction August 6, 2001 and was completed in September
2002. The facility houses 384 personnel attending the Marine
Corps Communications Electronics School.
Barnhart
has successfully teamed with Delawie Wilkes Rodrigues Barker
on past BEQ projects, including recent renovations to BEQ's
at the Naval Station San Diego.
