Ada W.
Harris Elementary completed in Cardiff
The
new Ada W. Harris Elementary School in Cardiff-by-the-Sea
has been completed. Two new buildings total 50,000 square
feet.
The designer
was HMC Architects with Randy Peterson as principal-in-charge,
Katherine Lord as project designer, and Bernard "Ski"
Kruczynski as project architect. Brian Cahill was the principal-in-charge
for contractor Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc. with Richard
Bruce as project manager, Brian Rasmussen as superintendent,
Barbara Welch s engineer, Alexander Salas s coordinator and
Sue Davis as site officer administrator.
Engineering
consultants included Structural Affiliates for structural,
Syska & Hennessy for mechanical and Johnson
Consulting for electrical. Nowell & Associates
was the landscape designer. Subcontractors included Brady
Co., Baker Electric, Advance Plumbing, Brookwood Landscape,
Iron Horse, JP Witherow, Murray Cabinets, Olsen Steel, Plaza
Glass and Schultz Contracting.
