Doug Barnhart receives Distinguished Engineer
Distinction from Texas Tech University
Local
contractor and construction Manager Barnhart, Inc. announces
that CEO Doug Barnhart received a Distinguished Engineer distinction
from his alma mater, Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
Barnhart
was given the honor by the Texas Tech University Dean of the
College of Engineering. Mr. Barnhart received the Distinguished
Engineer distinction for Civil Engineering. Mr. Barnhart received
his Civil Engineering degree from Texas Tech in 1969. Mr.
Barnhart was cited for his successful construction corporation
and the completion of high-profile projects, as well as his
commitment to community service and the construction industry.
There are just 160 DE designations chosen out of 19,000 Texas
Tech Engineering School graduates.
Mr. Barnhart
includes the Distinguished Engineer distinction to a long
list of honors, which include the Small Business Award for
Excellence, Who's Who in US Executives, Business/Industry
Award for the Greater San Diego Industry-Educational Council,
and induction into the Civil Engineering Academy at Texas
Tech University. Since 1996, Mr. Barnhart's company had been
ranked as one of the largest privately-owned commercial building
firms in San Diego County by the San Diego Business Journal,
one of Engineering News Record's Top 250 Contractors,
the 13th largest educational builder in the nation, and one
of the top 21 General Contractors in California.
