Barnhart, Inc. awarded for excellent safety record
by peers
Local
General Contractor and Construction Manager Barnhart, Inc.
was commended by the National Associated General Contractors
(AGC) for their excellent safety record.
Awards
were presented in six divisions, including Building Contractor,
Highway, Heavy/Industrial, Municipal-Utilities, Construction
Manager, and Associates/Specialty Contractors.
Barnhart,
Inc. received an award for a zero Incidence Rate in the Construction
Manager category for companies 50,000 work hours and over.
The Construction Manager was also commended for having an
incidence rate at least 25% below Construction Manager Division
average incidence rate. The industry average was 1.25. Barnhart
also received commendations for having an incidence rate at
least 25% below the Building Division average incidence rate.
The industry average rate is 1.86.
The awards
were given by the National AGC Safety Awards Program. The
program has 3,000 national members and enables members to
compare their safety records against national averages for
companies of similar type and size. To receive awards, companies
must either achieve a zero incidence rate over three years,
or a rate 25% below that of the division average.
