Barnhart, Inc. to construct administration
building and occupant relocation facility for California Rehabilitation
Center in Norco
Barnhart,
Inc. is the general contractor for a 25-building, 88,424-sf
Administration Building and Occupant Relocation Facility at
the California Rehabilitation Center in Norco.
Scope
of contract includes construction of 25 metal modular buildings
to house inmates, as well as four stair platform lifts to
transport patients/inmates up to forty feet. Dental offices
and accommodations for radiographic and medical gases are
included. Category 5E data cabling will be installed between
the buildings for data and telephone networking. The project
is being contracted by the State of California Department
of General Services, Real Estate Services Division and was
designed by Peter Revelli of Rutherford & Chekene Consulting
and Lawrence Merrion of Ratcliff & Associates. Managing
construction for the State is Jerry Avalos of Turner/Vanir
Construction Management. The project began construction in
February, and is slated for a 425-day work schedule.
The team
for Barnhart includes Henry Amigable, Bruce Barker, and Eric
Taylor. Key subcontractors include William Scotsman, Howard
Contracting, and Landmark Fence.
