Barnhart Recognized by Texas Tech

The chief executive officer of San Diego-based Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc. has received a Distinguished Engineer distinction for civil engineering from his alma mater, Texas Tech University, in Lubbock.

Doug Barnhart was cited for his successful construction corporation and the completion of high-profile projects as well as his commitment to community service and the construction industry. There are 160 Distinguished Engineer designations chosen from 19,000 Texas Tech Engineering School graduates. Barnhart received a civil engineering degree from Texas Tech in 1969.
