Barnhart, Inc. and Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke chosen as design-assist construction managers for Chula Vista Elementary School District

Award-winning team to develop a prototype school facility

Barnhart, Inc., and Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke architects were selected by the Chula Vista Elementary School District to develop its newest prototype educational facility.

The new elementary school, the District's 40th, is tentatively scheduled for a July 2003 completion.

The Barnhart and Ruhnau team has past experience with the Chula Vista Elementary School District having completed three previous joint projects. The team modernized Halecrest, Cook, and Palomar Elementary Schools in just 76 days during the summer of 1999 and upgraded Mueller Charter, Lauderbach, and Juarez-Lincoln Elementary Schools in the summer of 2000 in just 72 days. In 1998, the team constructed EastLake Elementary School. The 2000 modernization project resulted in Associated General Contractors Build America and Build San Diego awards.

Barnhart, Inc. was also awarded a Construction Management contract from the Chula Vista Elementary School District to modernize Parkview, Valle Lindo, and Valley Vista Elementary Schools this coming summer.
