Construction is complete on Mountain Shadows Middle School

Construction is complete on the Mountain Shadows Middle School in Nuevo, a $16.2 million permanent campus for the Nuview Union School District. The school was designed by Trittipo & Associates with Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc. as the construction manager.

The new 100,000-square-foot middle school houses student grades 6-8. Mountain Shadows has been operating in portable buildings for the past 12 years. The school was constructed on a 6.6-acre site adjacent to the existing campus. Construction took approximately 15 minutes.

The school features seven buildings, including classrooms, science labs, multipurpose room, kitchen facilities, locker rooms, library and administrative offices. The school will include energy-efficient building materials.
